Transitional Housing

This ten-unit transitional/homeless shelter is designed to assist families in a homeless situation and transition them into a secure self-sufficient environment. This program allows families a place to reside for up to 24 months. During this time they are educated in many aspects of everyday life. They are taught how to budget and manage their finances and work towards goals outlined in their individual service plan to become self-sufficient. These services are provided for a minimal fee.

Each apartment is fully furnished and includes washer/dryer, linens, dishes, towels, and basic necessities.

On site activities include:

Group Meetings
GED Courses
Counseling Services

The Housing Authority is a member of the Partners in Community Service (PICS), which allows us to partner with many other community and government organizations to allow the maximum effort in assisting these families.
